Blah Blah Blizzards!

Thumbs Down to no bus service this morning in my neighborhood.
Thumbs Down

You could barely see the signs

Thank goodness for these boots! Rubber boots rule in this mess.

Though I'm so tired of wearing them.

This is a very stressful rush-hour time trying to get onto the subway. Several cars passed before I could wedge my way into one. It was the body-to-body kind of time where people get groped & robbed and infested with bed bugs. Misery.

After I got close to work, after a stressful subway experience, I got happy and enjoyed the scenery. 30ยบ has never felt so warm!

I have never been up close and personal with so many snow-blowers.
Bryant Park

I had a silly idea after work to walk across Central Park to get home and that didn't last. I turned around and got in line for a bus!

Work let-out early and I was able to go to H&M to get some Valentine's sorpresas for my little niece. I also got some tights and these heart-shaped sunglasses. I want everything in life to be heart shaped.

This is an after-work casual outfit for sitting on the couch with husband & doggie.

This will mark the first week since April where I haven't bicycle commuted at least one day. So sad!
I hate wedging my body into the rush-hour subway!

New Brown Cowgirl Boots - Dolce Vita Pax

New Cowgirl Boots. I like these boots. They're meant to replace my Dollhouse brand Cowgirl boots of absolute love. I loved them so hard, they look like hell, so I found these.
Saturday Before the Salon

They're a decent substitution. I can never let these go- they just look super-bad right now and need to be taken out of the work place. They're 4 years old and need to rest a little.

I don't recognize my bicycle looking this clean. Sad. That was back in August.

I think the rounded-edges of the tops are more flattering than straight-across boots, if you know what I mean. This magnificent tiger tshirt is an Arkansas thrifted piece from my recent Christmas visit. The rainbow belt too. The corduroy pants are from my recent Gap Clearance extravaganza.
Saturday! Before Salon!
Bonnie is enthralled! She is resting on a gorgeous Mexican Blanket I thrifted in Arkansas as well, from Savers!

Work is Nuts - Life is Lovely

Finally! Friday.
TJ Maxx Military jacket, Levi's Jeggings, Irregular Choice copper booties. The shirt is from TJ Maxx but it's nothing special. Just a good shirt for work.

Work is really only nuts due to the construction (the refrigerator is parked in the middle of the showroom where only clothes should be.) I still love that my job is peaceful and I get to focus on making a really good home-life for myself. I may not live in NYC forever, so it's a top priority to have THE BEST TIME POSSIBLE while we're living here- Young and child-free.

On that note- I was able to use the multi-line phone system to break through to the NBC ticket hotline and score tickets for the live taping of 30 Rock next week! I almost cried- I can't lie. Of course I'm taking my baby boo- Matt. Maybe we'll go to dinner somewhere special after.

I was almost home and I spotted him arriving and hopping off of his bicycle.

He's got on a t-shirt from our college! Representin' But his pants & high socks were KILLING ME! I was laughing at him.
My Huzzy

He took my outfit pics. even though I was in dis-belief about his high navy blue socks.

This weekend we are going to REST OURSELVES and maybe I can talk him into some cuter bicycle outfits for himself.

Snow-Blizzzard!!! Be Gone!!!

It just needs to become 80f and melt all this, then dry up the sidewalks & streets so that I can stop wearing these rubber boots!
Bless my wellies

I went to the Biennial show at the Whitney. There were 2 super-sad photography collections about burned people/persons. Made me cry a little bit.

However, this Mike Kelley stuffed animals extravaganza made me really happy. I need to start ADD to my crazy little critter collection so that when I have me a baby I can make it something like this.

This photo doesn't look as magical as it looks in person. It has shawls and all kinds of critters sewn together on afghans. Gorgeous. It goes with my baby blanket that serves as the design inspiration for my future baby's room... when I have a baby in 5 years. I can just hang on to it 'til then.

Oh.. The Snow-Blizzard. She's a B-I-C-H!
This is old news but it's very pretty.
Sled Mania Takes Central Park

And I like this snowman.
Lonely Snowman
Yes, I took these pics. I took my "big girl" camera and could barely operate it. The snow was so bright!
