Blazer & High Tops

Puff sleeve vintage blazer (the skirt got tossed) and metallic adidas high tops - must be Hump-Day!

These sneakers get tons of love every time and everywhere I wear them. They were only $39.99 at 6pm.com And they're comfy and I never actually tie or un-tie them.

Going to the museum

I'm pretty happy I can wear brown now. This tweed Roxy hat wouldn't have been OK at PF.

Today I felt the tiniest bit "unemployed." I was home alone and went to a museum on a Tuesday in the middle of the day.
I feel like I've been finding good positions to apply for and I've only been officially unemployed for one business day. Hopefully, I'll quickly find a job that doesn't need me to start for a week or 2, so I can go to museums and buy some fancy nail polish or whatever bullshit will feed my soul.

My college photography instructor gives me tips on exhibits that she would like to see, so I go see them. She would never mislead me.

She sent me to see Tichý at the ICP - Int'l Center of Photography. The Tichý documentary alone was well-worth the $12 admission fee. Also, the French exhibit with a good heap of Man Ray photos was a good thing. Tichý was a super-dirty, as in filthy outsider photographer who literally made home-made cameras out of junk- cardboard tubes & bottle caps. His photos are grainy and sometimes blurry and he really did THROW them around his shack. He lived in a dirty little shack like a hoarder. He didn't have front teeth. He's awesome. He said you need a bad camera to take artistic photos. He said the flaws are part of the work. Lovely ideas.

After the ICP I went to the Mid-Manhattan Public Library! Good times being out but not spending any money, while getting to take something home with you. I got a Suze Orman "Women & Money" and a Gore Vidal book. I hope Bonnie can read to me.
