Southern Saturday - The Lassis Inn

After reading about The Lassis Inn in Garden & Gun magazine several months ago, we've been dying to go there. Saturday night was the right time to execute this very classy date.

Yes, we shared a 40oz at the suggestion of our lovely waitress. Yes, there's juke-box music. Yes, we ate fried catfish dinners. I used hot sauce. It was a good time. I didn't stress over what to wear. It was really cute and extremely southern. I don't know if we'll frequent on our own but this is the kind of special place we will bring guests. 

BEST DATE NIGHT

Me and matt went to 30 Rock Live this evening.
We killed time shopping at the J. Crew at Rockefeller Center.
I took some pics while he was trying on jeans. I have to stay in the dressing room with him so he can show me the goods in question.

I got this cute peachy-tan colored skirt for $19.99

I actually need to exchange this size 6 and get a size FOUR. J. Crew must be on a "vanity" size chart. Or maybe this runs big and that's why it's on sale. Hmm... If I need 4's at J. Crew I'm gonna be up in that piece shopping more often.

Matt got some Levi's that were originally $158 for $19.99. Scores!

Then 30 Rock was seriously amazing. It's easily one of the most special times I've had living in NYC. It's one of the best things I've ever been to. Period. Jon Hamm was at 12 o'clock, right across from us for his little bit. We saw Grizz and Jon Hamm help Julia Louis Dreyfus down off the stage after it was over. So sweet!



Then we we went to eat dinner at Outback. Matt was in rare form tonight, as in, he was just like a bitchy girl who gossips and talks smack about the people in the restaurant around us and I love it when he's like that. Here's Matt - note the wristband:


This was such a good date-night. It was a mix awesome free entertainment, discount shopping, tasty food and overall economical goodness!
